Chapter 1

Jaejoong sighed as he took his seat behind the wheel. The summer night was a bit cooler since it was windy. Glancing to his right, he sighed again seeing how his best friend, Yoochun, passed out in the passenger seat after a bout of non-stop drinking.

Yoochun was having a fit earlier that day about how much he hated the school’s bully aka Junsu’s gut even more after seeing him harassing Krystal, Yoochun’s fiancée’s little sister in school during lunch that he ended up dragging Jaejoong for a drink.

Jae didn’t drink much since his father will make a fuss if he went home drunk but Yoochun seemed to be in a lot of stress lately so he let him lose some control for tonight. Seeing Yoochun in his off guard state, he remembered the talk he had with his baby brother a fortnight ago.

“Hyung, can I at least have an early Christmas present before I go?”

With furrowed eyebrows, Jaejoong stared at the slightly younger man seated in front of him. They were currently having dinner in a small restaurant just outside of Seoul.

The young man didn’t even look at him when he made that request, but timidly playing with his food instead.

“What do you mean, Junsu-yah?”

Hearing his full name being used, the younger man knew his hyung was being serious. Tilting his head up, he braved himself to look at his hyung in his eyes.

“You know that ap- he will found out about us soon enough, right? And I’m going to have to leave sooner or later” Junsu finished his words and glanced back down again.

There was a moment of silent before Jae’s voice was heard.

“You’ve been quiet today. Is that what’s been bothering you?”

Junsu’s head went lower was the only answer he got. Sighing, he put down the fork in his left hand and slowly moved his now free hand across the table to gently took his brother’s right hand into his. He smiled when Junsu looked up from his gesture.

“It’s been 6 years, Su-ah…Why would you think he would found out about us now? We’ve been careful enough this whole time. Do you really want to leave hyung so bad?” Jae asked as he sported a pout on his face.

“What? No!” Junsu frantically waved his hands indicating that that’s not his intention for bringing up the topic.

Chuckling a little, Jae brought Junsu’s frantic hands down.

“Hyung was just kidding, Su-ah”

Hearing those words, Junsu calmed down. He had come to love his hyung too much to leave him. How can he when Jae was the only one left who was willing to love some nobody like him? And he knew that his hyung knew about that too.

“So tell me Su-ah…Why would you think like that?”

Jae’s voice made him snapped out of his thought. He looked up with a smile which didn’t reach his eyes.

“I don’t know hyung. Just a gut feeling that I had been having for a few days now. And it made me scared”

Listening to the scared voice that was now reduced into a whisper, Jae caught Junsu’s hand again and gave it a little squeeze.

“Listen Su, whatever happen, hyung wouldn’t let us be separated again. Not him, and not anyone can make you leave me. Hyung will do anything to make sure of it, arasso?”

Jae smiled when he saw the young man nodded his head like an obedient child. Though he hated to admit it, Junsu was right. That man might found out about them sooner or later, and a 19-year-old boy like him couldn’t do much to go against that man. And he said those words to give some assurance to the 17-year-old boy, as well as some assurance to himself.

Releasing the hold on Junsu’s hand, Jae leaned back on his chair and sipped some of his coke.

“So Su, since you’ve asked. What would you like to have in particular for Christmas this year? Hyung will see what I can do about it, as long as it not something so expensive and so ridiculous that then I don’t see why I can’t get it for you”

Amusement filled his eyes when he saw Junsu fidgeting in his seat. He kept being silent as an encouragement for Junsu to tell him what he wanted for Christmas.

“Y- you can get me what I want. No- only hyung can get me what I want. Just, promise me that hyung won’t shout” Junsu gave his best puppy eyes as he looked at his hyung.

“Okay, I promise. Now spill it” Jae urged, getting impatient with curiosities.

“IwantanightwithParkYoochun” Junsu whispered lowly and as quickly as he could that he doubted his hyung would catch on what he said. He mentally whacked himself when he thought of repeating it for the second time.

“Junsu, you know that no one can hear you when you whispered to the table like that, right?”

Junsu knew his hyung was getting more impatient so taking a deep breath, he repeated for the second time, only this time, a little bit louder and a little bit slower so that his Jae hyung and ONLY his Jae hyung could hear him.

“I want a night with Park Yoochun”

Though Junsu’s voice had been reduced into a whisper again at the end of the sentence, Jae was still able to catch the name his brother had blurted out. The ONLY name that his brother had mentioned since Junsu attended high school together with him.

“WHAT?!”

He never knew that his voice could be that loud.

Seeing Junsu flinched from his outburst and the looks he got from the other customers in the small restaurant, as well as whispers that he heard directed at him, he calmed himself down and sat back down on the chair.

Clearing his throat, Jae leaned closer to Junsu and observed him.

Seeing Junsu being fidgety on his seat with his head hanged low, but stealing glances of him for a few times, Jae sighed. He realized that it must take a whole lot of Junsu’s courage to make such a request to him because just as Junsu had said, only he can make it happen and he knew why Junsu would make such a request.

Park Yoochun, the sole heir of Park Holdings was his best friend since he can barely remembers. And Junsu had known him when he started high school, developing a crush on Yoochun along the way. Unfortunately, Yoochun had disliked Junsu since their first meeting because of Junsu’s title as a bully and that guy had already had a fiancée which he will marry as soon as they turned 20.

Jae knew how much that crush had blossomed but still, he couldn’t just give his brother away because in the end, he knew Junsu will be the one who got hurt.

And he never gave his answer on the topic since that night no matter how many times Junsu brought up this topic and tried to coax him.

Tapping his phone for a few times, a message was successfully sent.

Jae groaned as he realized that he’s going to regret this but the message was sent and he was already driving his way to the motel outside of Seoul where they will be less recognized by people.
