Facelift +

Dec 22, 2009 05:18

It's that time again. Time that I got bored and antsy and decided to give the comm a facelift! It's pretty different from last time, so click away from your flist and check it out. In my head it's sort of a Happy New Year city-winter theme? Oh who cares, it's got swirly things and Jennette in a totally sweet pink belt!

I'm tragically CSS-crippled, so you can thank ravenclawbest for the original base code. If there's something horribly wrong, let me know so I can try to fix it, okay? But, er, it'd be nice if you knew CSS because I'm really learning as I go so I'll be pretty bad at fixing it. >_> If you DO know CSS (and making LJ layouts) there are a couple of tweaks I would love to make to this current one that I don't know how to do. Leave a comment if you can help out, okay?

Also, of course, we're now affiliates with heyspocko. This should not come as a surprise to anybody. :P

And now, an important question:

Shall we postpone the next Short Term Challenge for a whole week so people can concentrate on the Celebrations Challenge (due January 4th) over the holidays?

If we don't postpone it, it will run from the 26th to the 2nd, which is fairly tricky holiday timing. If we do postpone it, it will run from the 2nd to the 9th, during which most folks should no longer be inebriated/depressed/too jolly/in transit. No matter what, the voting will end on the 26th and the winner of Sleepover fanfic declared.

I personally would love to see more entries on the Celebrations challenge, and I'm going out of town for New Year's, so I'm all for putting the ST Challenge off for a week. What does everybody think? And, sidenote, is running Sunday to Sunday still working for you, or would you rather bump it Monday to Monday? Please let us know, because we want everybody to have a good chance at participation, and understand that holiday scheduling is difficult at the best of times.

PS: Happy Solstice!
