I have to write a paper stemming from a radio sudience survey, I already have about ten surveys filled out already but I'd like a few more to see if I can find any more trends. Please fill it out and help me out

1. List any radio stations you listen to.
Radio 1

2. List any DJs on those aforementioned radio stations.
this is a full list of them.

3. Has listening to the radio ever been a part of your daily routine (ie. listening to it while driving to school or work, listening to it while getting ready in the morning, etc)? Is it still a part of your daily routine? If not, how long ago was it and why did this change?
i used to listen to it before school, but the show got boring and repetitive so i stopped. i later discovered a show on the same station which is on 4 evenings a week.

4. Have you ever felt some sort of connection with other listeners while listening to the radio? Has a particular song make you think that other people feel the same way about that song? Has a particular news story made you feel connected with other listeners? Be specific as possible.
not at all.

5. Do you listen to the radio at all? If so, when?
sometimes, i often miss the show itself so i listen to it again online the next day.

6. Do you own an mp3 player or satellite radio?
satellite radio.

7. Where to you find out about news?
the internet (BBC website), newspapers, various news channels on tv and sometimes word of mouth.

8. List 8 of your favorite bands. Which of these bands did you find out about through the radio?
the horrors
wretched replica
frank zappa
siouxsie and the banshees
the sonics
the libertines
neutral milk hotel
these new puritans

i found none of them through the radio.

9. Is there any band or musician you would like to hear on radio that cannot be currently found on radio?
i don't feel that enough english bands get played anymore. there are a lot of scenes here just pumping out great band after great band and radio would be good exposure for them i suppose. it really pisses me off that all you ever hear is whatever song is popular at the moment until it gets replaced by the next hit song which sounds exactly the same as all of it's predecessors. i'd like to hear the bands i mentioned above but i've only ever heard two of them on the radio but the others aren't exactly "radio friendly".

10. Where do you find out about new music?
mtv2s spanking new music week, nme, zane lowe's radio show and sometimes people recommend bands to me.

11. How do you feel about radio now?
see question 9? i no longer listen to the radio because popular stations here that play rock music seem only to play whichever band/artist/song is flavour of the month and even though you have specialist shows for whatever genre you're into i don't really feel it's enough to make me listen to the radio any more that i already do.

12. Where do you think radio is headed?
i think eventually it'll become pretty much obsolete because people are using other means to listen to music and they can do it without all the chatter, adverts and songs they don't want to hear.
