1. List any radio stations you listen to. 89x, 95.5, 96.3. All Detroit, MI based stations.
2. List any DJs on those aforementioned radio stations. Dave & Chuck the Freak - 89x. Mojo in the morning - 95.5. Jesse and Scott Vertical - 96.3. Those are the only ones I usually listen, therefore, the only ones I know of.
3. Has listening to the radio ever been a part of your daily routine (ie. listening to it while driving to school or work, listening to it while getting ready in the morning, etc)? Is it still a part of your daily routine? If not, how long ago was it and why did this change? Yes. I listen to it while driving, and getting ready in the morning. It is still apart of my daily life, but not as much as it used to be. This changed when I bought my mp3 player, which is now what I listen to more.
4. Have you ever felt some sort of connection with other listeners while listening to the radio? Has a particular song make you think that other people feel the same way about that song? Has a particular news story made you feel connected with other listeners? Be specific as possible. Honestly, not really
5. Do you listen to the radio at all? If so, when? Yes. In the morning while getting ready, and while driving.
6. Do you own an mp3 player or satellite radio? mp3 player.
7. Where to you find out about news? I usually watch it at night or when I am eating breakfast.
8. List 8 of your favorite bands. Which of these bands did you find out about through the radio? Green Day - Radio Fall Out Boy - Radio Eisley Bright Eyes Christina Aguilera - Radio The Hush Sound Lostprophets - Radio Jamisonparker
9. Is there any band or musician you would like to hear on radio that cannot be currently found on radio? Not really. I feel that sometimes when bands are played on the radio, they can become over played, and that's when my like of the band goes down. Not because everyone starts listening to them, but I start hearing them more than I would like, and I eventually get sick of them. I prefer a lot of the music I listen to, to not be played on the radio.
10. Where do you find out about new music? My friend usually tells me about new music. She always has the new music, and makes me listen to it.
11. How do you feel about radio now? I like it in the morning and during the day. Come night time, a lot of radio stations do the whole "club scene" thing where they just play remixes and crap.
12. Where do you think radio is headed? Downhill, but slowly. With the introduction of mp3 players and cords for cars, there is no need for the radio then. Basically, mp3 players ruin the radio. They let you listen to your music when you want, and you don't have to wait. So most people end up choosing that instead of radio.
