So today marked the 6th year anniversary of Teena's murder. My dad and I went to her grave after he came home from church this morning. We went to the Giant as usual and bought her some flowers and a bottle of Dasani to water them to make sure they don't dehydrate before the wintery mix we're supposed to get on Tuesday. After struggling with the really hard ground to get the grave pot in the ground, my dad just got on his knees infront of her grave and almost lost it. He was really upset and I didn't know what to do so I just kind of stood there. Later, which we were at dinner, my dad revealed that he was thinking how he wouldn't be able to losing another student whether it be through murder, car acident, illness, etc. It was just really awkward but kind of comforting in a really odd way.
I'm glad I didn't have to work today. I was working at Michaels on register 4 while she was being stabbed and bludgeoned to death. Michaels was the last place I wanted to be today.
Speaking of which, my manager and I were joking about joining frames on Friday night and he said that if I messed up that he would kill me. I knew he was joking but it seriously upset me. Of course, I joked with him about it the entire night but it kept getting to me. I just don't think it's something to really joke about. And I guess it affected me mroe because he didn't say it in a joking manner even though he said he was joking. But oh well, I guess I'm kind of over it now and was probably hyper-sensitive because of Teena's annivesary this weekend.
I might be working at a camp in New York this summer. I'd be there a little over eight weeks and would be making a lot more money than I would if working for Michaels. So I think I'm going to at least apply for it. Getting away will be good for me, plus I'd meet new friends and get to hang out with a few old friends.
We're supposed to get wintery mix tomorrow night and Tuesday night as well. Maybe I'll have some more classes cancelled. One can only hope. :)
