Runnin' down a dream
I remembered what I left off my list the other day: I beat Solitaire on my iPod. That sounds like a small thing, but after so many bus / Tube / Métro / RER / [insert other form of transit here] rides worth of play, it was tremendously gratifying. Of course, last night, my friend was showing me the fancy games that come on the new nanos, and they obviously put the relatively lo-fi 2G model's to shame, but, still. I won. Hurrah!
In case you'd forgotten, possibly taken it for granted: Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers' Greatest Hits is so amazingly good. Plus, I've been listening to it just now, on a chilly British morning, and it's sort of like a sliver of America -- Florida, even -- blaring out of my speakers. Every now and again, it's good to remember whence you've come.
