Yesterday, after work my sister took me to see my doctor regarding my sciatica issues. I received two shots in my arse, one steroids and one Toradol, to help alleviate the pain/inflammation in my lower back (herniated discs pinching the sciatic nerve) and the sciatic nerve pain running down the entire length of my right leg.
Afterwards I stopped by my parents' house to do a wound check, apply topical medicine, and redress a diabetic foot ulcer on the bottom of my dad's foot. He's been on bed-rest orders from his doctor since mid-February but you can't keep a good man down. He's 74 and plans to return to work this summer laying asphalt much to the dismay and protests of his Chinese podiatrist. The look on her face was priceless.
Then I arrived home last night just in time for my sickly cat to pass away in my arms. RIP Jersey, you were a sweetheart.
I am aware that all of the above is fodder for either a country music song or a commercial for an antidepressant. A bad day? No, just a typical one as of late. :P
Tomorrow morning I'm going to have cereal ... with milk! Last Saturday I bought two boxes of cereal and brought them home only to discover my milk expiration date was way past consumption, even for me. It's been a comedy of errors trying to get some this week. Oh yeah, my Vitamin D deficiency brings my number of medical prescriptions up to twelve now. I'm falling apart at a ridiculous rate.
Last night on the way home from the doctor's office, my sister stopped at the grocery to get me some milk and cat food. My wants aren't much, mrowr. She wouldn't let me go into the grocery, maybe because I'm walking much slower than usual or because I do silly walks with my cane. But I digress ... when I brought my fresh milk from the grocery inside last night, I forgot all about it when I saw my waning cat. In my futile attempt for wet cereal this morning, I found my milk on the table by the front door.
Tomorrow morning though, I will have cereal. Maybe two bowls of scrumptious cereal! My friend sent her husband to buy me some and I did bring it home from work and place it inside my refrigerator!

*feels mortified*
I just realized what I did forget today. The Good news: I did remember to take it out of my car trunk. The Bad news: I forgot to bury my dead cat. Schrödinger!
