• This weekend I saw a kid who looked like Rupert Grint. So much so, I did a double take then a triple take. He was about 14 or 15 years and looked like this pic of
Rupert. Just like that pic. The hair cut and color (ginger?) were exactly the same. A similar lanky build. His mouth and facial expressions were also very much like Rupert’s. Even more astounding, he was wearing maroon and orange (Virginia Tech colors). The Gryffin-Chudley colors just sealed the deal. I really wish I had taken a picture of him but I was already making him uncomfortable with all the staring. Plus, I didn’t want his mom to go all Molly Weasley on my ass.
• I just made a CD mix (yeah, I’m old school) with songs by Vienna Teng, Kate Havnevik, Sarah McLachlan, Death Cab for Cutie, Elliott Smith, Pulp, Jarvis Cocker, Amy Winehouse, Imogen Heap, Regina Spektor, Eva Cassidy, Blur, Iron & Wine, Damien Rice, The Decemberists, Snow Patrol, Depeche Mode, James Blunt, and Starsailor. I was going for a mellow mix, but it’s depressing as hell. I so didn’t need that right now.
• Last year after Christmas, I bought a pre-lit tree when they were on sale. This is the first pre-lit one I’ve had and I have to say the ease with which my tree was assembled was a wondrous thing. Of course, I should reserve final judgment until it is replacement light time. Still, the five minute assembly was really nice.
• At one of those dollar stores, I found Harry Potter party supplies - plates, cups, napkins, tablecloths, party favor bags, HP glasses, TriWizard champion badges, noise makers, wizard party hats, spells & potions activity kits, etc. Well, I had to buy paper plates anyway - might as well be ones with Quidditch Harry. :)
• I’ve got a massage scheduled at 3:30 pm. *eyes clock* A one hour, full body, hot stone massage. Relaxation awaits and I so need it.
