I had no diploma, and no direction
I was a virgin
I drove around with my best friends every day, carefree, listening to Fall Out Boy and Dashboard
I worked at Abercrombie & Fitch
One Year Ago:
I was in an abusive relationship
I had short brown hair
I was 110lbs
I got my GED
I worked at Sunglass Hut
I was on speaking terms with Renee, but not friends with her
I lived with my parents
Now:
I am single and independent
I have very short blonde (or brond) hair
I am 118lbs
I have three tattoos and no piercings
I'm enrolled at Columbia College
I'll be working a receptionist job
Renee is my best friend
I've adopted an abused cat
I live by myself in Chicago
There are some things about the past couple of years that I'd like back, like my weight and ability to open up, but when I take a step back and look at the big picture, I'm a lot happier now than I ever have been.
