[Closed Post - For Michelle] Meeting Milady's Daughter
It might be some weeks before their paths cross again, but Michelle has lingered in Jack's mind: she's a bright spot in his world, especially now that the darkness has started to creep in around the edges. Shadows have never avoided him, but for the most part, he's only had his own hide to protect, and said hide has plenty of ways to keep itself intact, or to mend itself when the worst has happened. But now he has another life to look out for, namely his daughter, and in an odd way, this has drawn him toward Michelle. They're both single parents in odd circumstances, but because of the age gap (at least by appearances), that plus her young man back in her world makes anything more than friendship not exactly proper, not that Jack has really stood much on propriety.
But perhaps some wintry morning, Jack enters the main room, snow dusting his greatcoat and his boots, Verrity strapped to his back. He'll brush off the snow as best he can, then he'll raise his eyes, perhaps to spy the young princess and her new arrival...
