its really no problem, you see, when the sky ignites and your days crash quietly
This week I learned that marijuana and itunes do not mix,i cannot stop listening to this one insanely awful song by AIR that i downloaded last week when i was really high. it's terribly terribly corny and ambient and im hoping if i integrate it into my playlist enough i'll be able to just get it out of my system.
this week was nice. the fam was home for mom's 60th birthday and we hosted this crazy "whodunnit" 1930's party for her. I was dressed like a whore-y french maid, but it was actually pretty funny. Everyone looked awesome.
Monterey was awesome too. Schmidt and I pulled over one evening off the freeway and onto a big artichoke farm in Castroville and had a pretty time.
tonight is kinda sad.
break is over, family's all scattered again, LOTS of work to do this week, etc etc. Miki told me tonight she didnt get into Berkeley, which is a huge bummer because i'll be living alone again next semester and i know she really wanted to get into grad school and share an apartment.. Double lame.
also i keep looking though peoples photo albums on facebook and i get kinda jealous and sorry for myself and bummed out. Art school is so weird. Its like being around tons of people who are interested in and appreciate the same things you do, but still not really having anything in common. And its not like its other peoples fault or anything. I just really dont have a huge desire to get to know most of these people beyond having classes together. Not to mention my conversational skills are less than awesome. It almost (almost) makes me wish i lived in dorms again. At least then we're all forced to socialize. Im not really digging the real world.
i wish emerson had worked out. or anything.
hopefully Portland next weekend will be liberating and non-stressful! I know I have an evil SUV, but i really love driving when i have shit on my mind.
5 and a half weeks till i have to figure out more things to do with myself- - -
