Angels' Blood, by Nalini Singh

I can't in all honesty call this a good book. It is, however, an incredibly entertaining one, infused with the Page-Turn Spell also notable in early Laurell Hamilton and Janet Evanovich. It's also supremely cracktastic and shamelessly wish-fullfilling, though unfortunately some of Singh's wish-fulfillment is my squick. But so it goes ( Read more... )

OK, I HAVE to know what that's from! Please?

I read 1 Singh novel a while back, and a couple of shorts in anthologies, and I gotta say- the woman has some issues going, there. Since I am very much not a fan of the alpha-male, I will be avoiding her writing from now on. (I like males who tease and entice, and who enjoy it when teased and enticed back- in fiction as in life, I guess!)

Blue Bloods by Melissa de la Cruz. It's a series, but I've only read the first so far. The book was...not really great, but I loved the mythology.
