#19 - Angelology by Danielle Trussoni
I couldn't put this one down. It's been a long time since I have been so immersed in a new world (didn't hurt that I read it at the lake, which is where you go to immerse yourself in books). I have no doubt that Trussoni is a Supernatural fan, which pleased moi. Anyway, it's obviously set up for a sequel. Can't wait!
#20 - Runaway Devil by Robert Remington and Sherri Zickefoose
Another in my "true crime" reading obsession. This one is about the notorious Canadian case of mid-00's when a Medicine Hat 12-year old killed her parents and younger brother with the help of her 23 year old boyfriend (yes, the whole thing was as messed-up as it sounds). Chilling. Particularly as I have taught a couple of 12 year olds that I could so see as this girl. It's such a fragile age - they either go one way or the other after it.
#21 - Game Change by John Heilemann and Mark Halperin
This is the behind the scenes story of the 2008 election. It was like one long Vanity Fair article, so of course I loved it. Biggest non-surprise - John Edwards is a complete douche. And I actually came away from it feeling a little sorry for Sarah Palin. But that won't last...
