Book 34: The Maltese Manuscript by Joanne Dobson
Another in Dobson's academic mystery series about Professor Karen Pelletier, this one surrounding a series of library thefts and murder at an academic conference. So great.
Book 35: Justice Hall by Laurie R. King
I found the Holmes/Russell series to be back in fine form here after my difficulties getting through O Jerusalem. Great mystery set at a large country estate, with a backstory related to a mysterious death on the Western Front during WWI. Loved it!
Book 36: Obsession, Deceit and Really Dark Chocolate by Kyra Davis
This is the third book in Davis' series about Sophie Katz, a mystery novelist and amateur sleuth (the first one is Sex, Murder, and a Double Latte.) The books are pretty chick-lit-y in addition to their mystery plots, and I found the first two in the series enjoyable enough... though the fact that it took me 2-3 years and the release of the fourth book to get around to reading the third one is probably suggestive. There are things about the series that didn't grab me in the first two books - particularly Sophie's love interest, and certain character affections - but I found I got pretty into the third one. Good mystery surrounding a political campaign, and I think the characters are evolving in more interesting ways. The fourth one is currently awaiting me at the library.
