Anyone interested in a good old-fashioned contest? :D
So, I got a message from community member onlyobsess the other day, asking if 50bookchallenge had a banner that she could use to promote the community in her profile and elsewhere. We do not, but it got me thinking...why don't we?
Well, the answer is basically that I have no idea how to do that. I think it's a lovely idea, however, and started wondering if anyone in the community would be interested in coming up with some clickable banner art that could be posted in the community info for people to C&P to their own profiles if they so choose. In a community of 6000+ reading geeks, there have to be some people with arty/coding talents, right? :)
So, here's my proposal. I'm offering the prize of a 1 year paid LJ subscription to the winner of the 50bookchallenge Banner Art contest. The winner is to be determined by community poll. Anyone who's interested in submitting banner art can email it to 50bookchallenge@gmail.com, and musesong and/or I will put together a poll of all of the entries. I will link this notice in the community sticky for a minimum of 1 week (actual time to be determined on how much interest is generated) and then link to the poll when it's available.
