Tag Amalgamation

As part of the tidy-up of tags I have combined a few over-lapping tags by going through the old entries and swapping the tags over. Thus:

nonfiction is no more and all tags have been changed to non-fiction.

kids is no more. Quite a few of the entries were double tagged with kidlit; where kids was used on its own if the book concerned was a book ( Read more... )

I believe I've said this before, but I still think "foreign language" needs to go - it's a singularly unhelpful tag as what's foreign to one person isn't to another. Same goes for "international", which I can't think of a way to tie to the content of a book, so it'd be largely "books not from my country" (everything I read, pretty much, in my case).

Also think that while having "Europe" or "Canada" or whatever as a tag, having sets like "Canada" and "Canadian lit" is cluttering the tag list. Same for "Japan", "Japanese" and "Japanese novel ( ... )

Sorry for the long delay in replying. This comment was posted when LJ was having issues with notifications I guess and it is only now I revisited these entries to see what suggestions there might have been.

I do take your point though I am inclined unless jadis says differently to keep those country tags in place that were set up in the early years of the community ( ... )
