Big Panda & Tiny Dragon - Special Edition by James Norbury

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book was a very quick, but also very profound read.

So, the main characters are Big Panda and Tiny Dragon; they seem to be on a journey somewhere, though where to is not specified, and the book follows them through all of the seasons, as they share wisdom with each other, and also keep themselves company.

As well as the beautiful illustrations throughout the book, there was some really memorable, and meaningful, dialogue, such as this exchange near the start:

'I'm too busy to see the flowers right now,' said Tiny Dragon.

'All the more reason to look at them,' said Big Panda. 'And they might not be here tomorrow.'

According to the book's blurb, the adventures are all inspired by Buddhist philosophy and spirituality, and are based on how he has managed to get through difficult times; it felt like a book we all need to read, particularly at this time of uncertainty.
