41. Mishima - Star (novella)(English translation)
A slightly nightmarish view on a young movie star's world.
42. Canetti - The Voices Of Marrakesh: A Record Of A Visit
A view on its people, animals, and places, not always positive but leaving a feeling you've been there.
43. Moosewood Restaurant Book Of Desserts: More Than 250 Great New Recipes
Even though I'm not big on desserts - and will probably never make a cake - this was a good book to read and own.
44. EB White - Here Is New York
This short essay gives you a good feel about post-WWII New York, with some things that are still there, and some that are unfortunately gone.
45. Chambers - To Be Taught, If Fortunate
Interesting short novel, with some familiar heartwarming-ess I've come to expect from her. Feeling like an ode to science and curiosity.
46. Eluere - The Celts: First Masters Of Europe (English translation)
I have been interested in Celts for a long time, though concentrating on the British Isles. This tells a lot more widely about them, though their eastern adventures and living is still not talked about widely here.
47. Beguin & Morel - The Forbidden City: Heart Of Imperial China
A rather well-done writing on both the history of the place and the people who lived in it.
48. Cannuyer - Coptic Egypt: The Christians Of The Nile
I didn't know much about the Copts before this, but I have a better view now, after reading the book.
49. J.Green - Paris (bilingual - in French and English)
A feel of a place, of a city, with some things now lost, and some that are still there. I have been to Paris several times, and I do miss it.
50. Hartston - Sloths: A Celebration Of The World's Most Misunderstood Mammal
A random purchase, but it's nice to have a book on sloths that is more for the adults. There's even a guide on how to make sloth cookies!
