These Osprey books are pretty quick reads. Most of the time there's a lot of detail as well as overviews of the topic. My most recent read of them is Osprey Weapon #7: Fairbairn-Sykes Commando Dagger which is very detailed due to the topic being in essence so small. Sections include various production runs of the weapon, how it was used, where it was used, etc. Of the weapon series books I've read so far, this might be the best-written.
