I became curious about Shardik when it was referenced in Stephen King's Dark Tower: Drawing of the Three. I have a copy now but haven't read it yet. Watership Down by Adams is one of the few books I would give four stars.

I love Watership Down and read it over and over as a kid. Shardik is more grown up in its tone and not quite such an easy read, but definitely worth it.
