I found time in yesterday's busy-ness to finish reading Osprey Command #19: Lawrence of Arabia. The book is a minor piece of work on this complicated man who, during WWI, helped shatter the remnants of the Ottoman Empire. It is not Lawrence who should be blamed for the mess that the Middle East is in, now, but the armistice conference that followed the war and divided the world between France, Britain, and the Belgians. Anyway, the book seems to give a good start to a complex subject.
