Joe Hill takes top spots yet again. Seriously, EVERYONE should be reading this series, it's fan-freaking-tastic! Can't wait for the next installment, cause evil is brewing and we can't look away.

Though I was not at all disappointed in Carriger's last novel in her steampunk series 'The Parasol Protectorate', I was very disappointed that it would be the last. Her characters are witty, funny, well-rounded (as well as any werewolf, vampire, or soulless could be I suppose) and it had what I've been missing in a lot of books lately: PLOT! However, I was exceedingly disappointed in Ward's lastest vampire romp. This is a series I've loved from day one and it's been going downhill for a long time. I didn't care one bit about our current vampire/heroine combo, instead I was focusing more on what's likely to come. Ironically I suppose, I was always under the impression that this was supposed to be Ward's last BlackDagger Brotherhood tale, and found myself getting mad as I read that she wouldn't have enough time/book left to wrap up any plots or cement storylines, but apparently I was wrong wrong wrong and hopefully we'll get a couple that actually has some chemistry next year with Xcor and Layla. Why wasn't this book about Quinn and Blay?! They at least make sense in this world! Tohr is in mourning and all along we've read that vampire's are destroyed if their sig. other dies. A side story about Tohr and No'One hepling each other to move through the past would have been better than throwing them into the sack together! Why did both have to happen? Ugh.
