1. For Whom the Bell Tolls by Ernest Hemingway - I couldn't really get into it, I don't know why. I had never read Hemingway before though, I plan on reading another one of his though, maybe it was just this one I didn't like.
2. Under the Overpass by Mike Yankoski - About two guys they try living homeless for a few months in different cities. It's kind of a Christian book, I was unaware of this until I received the book in the mail. While there are some parts I don't agree with, but for the most part it's an interesting read, they don't push their beliefs onto the reader just state their own.
3. The Stranger by Albert Camus - Pretty good book, quick read and fairly easy. The story was pretty good. It wasn't like incredible but still pretty good and I do want to read more Camus.
4. Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison - I was getting into it in the beginning, but it was just too long and drawn out. I just ended up rushing to finish it.
5. Let it Snow by John Green, Maureen Johnson, and Lauren Myracle - I really enjoyed this, it was 3 stories. I like how the stories tied in to one another, it was really clever and all of them were really funny and cute to read.
6. Second City Unscripted by Mike Thomas - I'm a big fan of SNL and loved interview-type books like Live From New York and The Christ Farley Show, this book was okay, not as good as the other two but some parts were interesting other parts were just...mreh. If you're into comedy, SNL, Second City, etc it's worth a view.
7. The Pit and the Pendulum by Edgar Allen Poe - Intense. Pretty good, not my favorite, but I like how he based on a piece of history.
8. The Fall of the House of Usher by Edgar Allen Poe - I enjoyed this read more than the Pit and the Pendulum. Really sets the tone in the beginning. Bit of a downer, but it's Poe and they're all downers. It was okay, pretty good.
9. Uglies by Scott Westerfield - Just decided to randomly pick up a YA book at my library and this one wasn't bad. I actually look forward to reading the others in the series. Very different, adventurous, and sci-fyish, but with a cool plot. I really like YA books that aren't dripping with romance (coughtwilightcough) and have original plots like this. Almost like the Hunger Games in a way.
