Book# 2 of 50 by Aug. 2010; First Time Read
Title: The Light Fantastic
Author: Terry Prachett
Genre: SciFi/Fantasy
Add'l Info: Paperback; 241 pages; Discworld Series (2 of 38 to date).
Synopsis: From Barnes & Noble: In The Light Fantastic, only one individual can save the world from a disastrous collision. Unfortunately, the hero happens to be the singularly inept wizard Rincewind, who was last seen falling off the edge of the world.
My Thoughts: I finally finished the darn book about a week ago, after much starting & stopping, with a hell of a lot of RL thrown in. After all of that, all I can say is that the book was "ok". The story was very interesting, but the pace was very ponderous. I really think both The Color of Magic & The Light Fantastic could have been written as one book, becuase it really is just one story. I'll be giving the Discworld a break so that I can delve into the Douglas Adam's universe.
Up Next: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and then The Restaurant at the End of the Universe
