78.  The Knitting Answer Book, by Margaret Radcliffe.  362 pages.  (2005)

Grade: A

This is an encyclopedia, in question-and-answer form, for knitters, covering a wide variety of knitting-related subjects, from different methods of casting on to forms of embelishment and even duplicate knitting.

A useful resource, and the volume is small enough to fit easily in your knitting bag.

79.  Tudor Wench, by Elswyth Thane.  335 pages.  (1932)

Grade: B+?

A biographical novel about Elizabeth I of England, and long out-of-print.

Charming.  Old-fashioned, but charming.  But then, I'm a sucker for Elswyth Thane and always have been.

historical fiction, knitting
