Title: It’s been 10 years, can’t the souls just rest in Peace?
Prompt No.: 30 World Event that causes me Stress
Rating:  PG-13
Word count: 722
Warnings: Hostile overtones

I remember I was in college during 9/11. I was in the practice room working on my music theory and my sighting singing and ear training as well as working on my own music.

I walked out feeling accomplished only to see a girl crying in a guy’s arms as their eye were glued to a blaring TV screen-the new pushing through a Breaking news story. I had no idea what was going on. I assume it was someone the girl knew. I walked around to see the music rooms closed, dark, and empty; there were no student standing around, so I assumed class was cancelled. I walk around to see about three dozen students rushing out of the college to their cars.

I talked to a friend of mine selling tickets as she had said that the college was closed due to a tragedy. I ask to use the phone as I called home for a ride.

I got home, got some lunch and watch the news and I don’t know if it was because I was in shock or merely tired from studying and work the night before, because after I watched I passed out in the chair for two hours. When I woke up I wondered if it was all just a bad dream. I also wondered where else were they going to attack next. . . I think there was a lot of tension everywhere you went for months after that.

However I feel even ten years later that no one will let anyone move on or let it go. I think the souls of those who worked there and their attempted rescuers have the right to rest in peace.

I also believe that our own government either had something to do with it, or at least knew about it and did nothing. It’s creepy how well they know what people are doing and can’t anyone with a cell phone and yet they couldn’t prevent a few huge jets?

I also think sending our troops overseas are pointless . . . we are sending our men and women into bomber territory: it makes no senses.

(First of all, I voted for the other guy, because he seemed to be a little less of a lair and a little less of a conman.) I am also in fear that our current president is friends with terrorists and uses 17 million dollars for his own protect each time he travels. Our budget keeps going farther into the red and yet I haven’t anyone from the government take any pay cuts or cheaper benefits. Our current president has been on several vacations when the average American doesn’t vacation anymore, they work more to keep paying the damn bills. By the way, his health care plan has only diluted the quality of health care the doctors still treat the those in plan like crap and the healing rating isn’t any better and people still get stuck with medical bills.

What is currently irking me locally is that there is this issue 2 (Ohio) that they keep pushing back and forth like a bad ping-pong game. It’s crazy that they say that teacher, nurses, union workers, and firefighter will lose rights and jobs if we deny the issue. First of all, the issue itself will give up rights for unions, take away benefits for teachers. I just finished reading the issue itself.

I hate how commercials keep twisting the issues and they even use a piece of a new story that was not approved by the victim it happened to. It’s like saying you have to vote yes or we kill innocent beings. It’s wrong and the local and federal governments should be ashamed of themselves.

I will vote for or against an issue or person if you simply tell what it is about, but the government doesn’t want the people to know the truth. The truth is that they are all lying, corruptive, cheating, black-mailing dark souls who gave up what was left of their souls to have power. GRRRRRR (Did I mention how much I hate politics? I’m sorry I sound harsh, but I really wish it was like when we had our forefathers when the people had private lives and we could see what our politicians were really doing.)
