In some spin off or some canon or another, it is mentioned that the Doctor had plans to send Ace to Prydon Academy where she would learn the secrets of doing Time Lord-y things. I am sort of in love with this idea, if only for seeing Ace put flair on her robes. In some universe where this actually happens, the Doctor leaves her there, has a bit a mishap on some horrible New Year's, but gets a button and catchphrase out of it and decides to take the button to someone who will appreciate it when he goes to check on how she's progressing on her journey to be EVEN MORE awesome.
