Oh! Darling
It has been way too long since I last posted. lol. So let's see what's been going on in my life...
I'm working on the Abbey Road chair in art class. We started painting it today. Just the base coat though. It's a really pretty gray color.
Here's a couple sketches I did but I'm sure by the time it's done, it won't really look like this. And yes, they're blurry but the only camera I have with me right now is the webcam...
But after I did these, I found out the back has 3 parts instead of 2. lol.
The top has the silhouettes and the second (which is now the third) slat has Abbey Road & bricks like on the album. The middle's going to say "Here comes the sun" or "Come Together".
The back is going to have the music to Come Together on one slat, the Beatles logo on one, and apples on the other (but not sure of the positioning yet). I thought about putting in an octupus or VW but that's still in debate. And I'm thinking about cutting the octopus because when I brought that up, Kyle said, "Oh, like for Yellow Submarine?" And I so would have facepalmed but I had a paint brush in my hand.
And he kept thinking of some song about a rooster when I mentioned Here Comes the Sun. And I'm like, "No, that's not the song." But he was sure that the rooster thing had something to do with it. I had no idea what he was talking about...
Anyway,
Wednesday, (I think it was) my brother (who is 8) posed me the hypothetical situation of what would happen if the Blue Man Group fought the droids and clones from Star Wars. And we decided that the Yellow Submarine would fly though the background and no one would care what Blue Man Group or the Star Wars guys were doing. lol. The mind of a child.
Also, he finally got to see Yellow Submarine, which he liked but he said Jeremy freaked him out. He's still all about HELP and he's been listening to it like nonstop on his iPod. lol. He really likes the Night Before, even though John's his favorite.
He saw Yoko on some awards show and said he wanted to go and tell her to give George his muffin back. awws. I hadn't the heart to tell him George is dead. I suppose his mother will burst that bubble soon enough, and John's.
Today my frend, Dalton, and I were talking about Abbey Road and Oh! Darling (which has been stuck in my head since) and stuff. He said he really liked that song and I said it's from Abbey Road. And he said he didn't realize there were so many songs that he liked that were Beatle songs. Then we got to talking about Paul is Dead, which he had never heard of. He doesn't believe it (which, I don't know that I do) but I told him some of the clues and stuff. He seemed really interested which is cool. I mean, if I get him all into the random Beatle knowledge, I can at least have someone to bounce ideas off of and things. Like my Come Together theory, or how I think David Archuleta should sing Helter Skelter, and stuff. lol. That would be the funniest thing EVER! :D
Speaking of AI, it sucked, we all know that. But I think Chikezie did really well & I think someone should sing The End. lol. They should sing the "Love you" part then totally jam out on the guitar or drums or something then stop everything and sing the last part. It would be the single coolest thing ever I think, but nobody'll do that because it's more music than singing and they won't get any votes.
I've got regional Quizbowl tomorrow! And I really don't want to go. lol. But I don't, it's just like nerve wracking and I get all stresed out and I'm sure all the other teams have practiced and learned everything. I hardly know anything I feel like I'm supposed to...And to top it all off no one knows exactly where we're going but we have to meet at school at 7:45 and get on the bus anyway. lol. It's either at Davidson College or Davidson County & those are two completely different places (that are kinda far from each other). Knowing us, we'll probably end up at the wrong one. lol. Of course I wouldn't mind that much, considering I don't care that much about going.
Also tomorrow is the birthday of my bestest friend, Shelia! And I'll miss it because I have to go to quizbowl. :(
But she has to work so we wouldn't get to spend much time together anyway. I still might pop by and see her, even though I already gave her her present.
Which I was surprised at how good it came out. It's probably one of my best.
And I just heard she took it to school and showed everybody today. lol. She's crazy like that. :D
Oh, and I'm trying to get my first ever thing off eBay, but I keep getting outbid. lol. It's the Revolver LP. Which I know I could probably find if I look at enough antique shows and stuff but it's only $3 (right now, if the bid doesn't go up)! I'm the high bidder at the moment and it ends tomorrow. I just hope no one out does me before i get home. But if they do, it's okay. It's all part of the game, right? :)
