I figured I could catch the Kraken with one of those little ball things, so I bought one and threw it at it like you're supposed to. But it didn't catch him, it just bounced right off and hit that onion duck thing I've been splitting lunch with and it caught that instead

Either your aim really stinks, or that's not a Pokemon. Sounds like you caught a Farfetch'd, though! Congrats! You don't have to worry, the pokeball is build to be totally comfortable for them. If you wanna let it out, then just press the big button or drop it on the ground, okay?

I can't even tell what's a Pokemon or just a regular chimera anymore. Here I thought I'd finally catch that stupid thing...

A chiwhatta? Look, you should try getting a Pokedex. If you don't know if it's a Pokemon or not, just point your 'dex at it and see what it has to say.

You're... not very good at Pokemon, are you? After you catch one, you train it! Practice for contest-thingies! Try the Pokeathlon! Just keep it as a pet! Teach it to perform in musicals, for all I care. The important thing is that you've just made a new friend. What matters most is that you give it lots of love!
