All due respect, but I think there MAY have been some misinterpretation going on with regard to Grace Park & a possible pregnancy. I haven't seen any of that for quite awhile now.
What I have seen--& actually discussed with another fan on Twitter--is the possibility that KONO might be pregnant with Adam's baby (at least at some point if their relationship continues into Season 4). I had this weird vibe about it last week, once Kono ended up in the hospital after getting shot in the warehouse; apparently, so did others. That may have gotten twisted into "Grace Park is pregnant (& leaving the show, at least temporarily)". As for Grace leaving the show:
1. This has been RUMORED since the end of S1. Perhaps because it's been said that she likes spending most of the year in Hawaii about as much as Scott Caan (or at least she ORIGINALLY did; she may have adjusted by now, & done it better than he has). So far, NOTHING has come of it. To everyone's knowledge, everyone in the main cast has an iron-clad contract & is still bound by it--as I understand it, Alex & Scott have contracts for 7 seasons, while Grace & DDK are apparently under contract for 4 seasons (or through the end of next season). I don't know the details of Masi or Michelle's contracts but--even though they were recurring & not "main title" characters since the 1st season--their contracts may now be on a different renewal cycle than the 4 leads' contracts, based on when they were added to the "regulars" in the show (I don't know this for a fact).
2. Another reason people may be thinking Kono/Grace is leaving is that the ORIGINAL Kono (the male version, played by the actor Zulu) wasn't in ORIGINAL Five-O beginning with their 4th season (which we go into in the fall). He was fired by/at the insistence of original series star Jack Lord, due to a personal disagreement. between the 2 actors. I know Peter Lenkov likes to throw "homages" or "callbacks" to the old version into the current version, but I think this is 1 case where the 2 will differ: FEMALE Kono will be on H50 longer than MALE Kono was on H5O.
I can't do anything about the writing in the show, unfortunately. If people dislike that, or ANY aspect of the show so much that it affects their ability to continue watching it, then--honestly--my best advice is don't watch anymore. I love the show, speaking for myself ONLY; I have since the Pilot & I foresee myself loving it all the way through the Finale... whether that airs next season or a few seasons down the road (which I hope is the case... Though I'm smart enough to understand it probably will neither equal nor beat the 12 season run of the original). I'm fine with people not liking the show & saying so publicly; that's their right, as it is mine to basically love the show to death & to say that publicly. What I'm tiring of is "fans" watching it to do nothing but trash it publicly afterwards, many (but not all) without finding even 1 positive about an episode (& there usually is at least 1 positive thing about each ep... Other than it's over.) Again, that's their right. I just don't get why they don't stop watching or commenting on it if it truly isn't their cup of tea. Wouldn't everyone be happier if only people who liked the show watched it? Or maybe I should just be more selective about which post-ep comments I read now (shrugs). Thanks for letting me have my say. It's appreciated.
Yep, be selective of what comments and reviews you read. I already filter. I like the show, like reading and writing fanfic, and don't need negative bumph in my life.
However, seems some people get a kick out of "hating" characters/story arcs/Steve's hairstyle. Wow, HATE is a really strong word for fiction and characters that don't exist. The depth of some people's feelings leave me completely bemused. I don't need it so I don't read it.
This episode, like most had bits I liked and bits I didn't and bits that made me laugh at the ridiculous. Over all I liked it.
