Ahh yes, it's that time of year again Aaron and many of my other friends are on their rag. I'm going to go out with the girls now until your Aunt Flo has left town.

Thankfully im not alone here im sure that ian can agree(not that im trying to drag you in with me lol) but its just a fucking game we lost big deal is canada going to go into a recession? no why because its a game that happens once every 4 years that everyone over hypes back in the day the olympics meant somthing you fought for the honour of your country today who ever can hide the performance enhancers the best wins Fuck the olympics and fuck all of you
Re: Moon Timekj_shredderFebruary 23 2006, 04:53:39 UTC
Oh for shit's sakes. Stop taking everything so literally. He posted about something that matters to him, but I doubt it means that since the Canada men's hockey team lost that Aaron, and everyone else who likes hockey, will just lie down and die. I'm more than sure he's probably gotten over the team losing...like most people. So now YOU get over it. Fuck.
Re: Moon TimeolieflattsFebruary 23 2006, 04:59:29 UTC
I am over it..infact it was never an issue with me in the first place. what i had an issue with was the fact that everyone is up in arms about the loss, I know no one is actually going to lay down and die over it but it annoys me when for the 24 hours after that all i hear about.
Re: Moon Timekj_shredderFebruary 23 2006, 05:01:30 UTC
Well congratulations. If you don't care, then shut up about it. If it never mattered, then why cut Aaron down for a paragraph? Go plug your ears for 24 hours and you should be fine.
Re: Moon Timeholly_meganFebruary 23 2006, 04:59:45 UTC
Because you've never been known to get upset or over-excited about things? If HIM broke up tomorrow you'd be crying about it. Different things have different levels of importance to people, deal.
And don't start in on how things used to have honour. Music, wedding vows and long division used to have meaning too.
Re: Moon TimeolieflattsFebruary 23 2006, 05:04:34 UTC
Firstly if HIM broke up i wouldnt shed a tear...that just makes room for Ville's Solo Career Second Music and wedding vows are still honorable in my eyes
Re: Moon Timeholly_meganFebruary 23 2006, 05:22:37 UTC
Yes, and wedding vows still mean the world to me as well, I'm just saying that given the rate of divorce, not everyone still thinks that way, hense the comparison I made.
Oh, and what if HIM broke up because Ville died? HMMM?
Re: Moon TimeianthenerdFebruary 24 2006, 05:33:47 UTC
Like I said, Moon time, for both of you.
I know what it's like to get wrapped up in what entertains you. I went out on a rant with a friend after watching Star Trek:Nemesis. We yelled at eachother frustratingly with ever more compelling reasons for why it sucked, for well over an hour after the movie. We knew it was tripe, but we also knew that talking about it afterwards was part of why we enjoyed it so much.
Why do people watch horror movies? Is it to watch people die, or is it to get frightened? I think Aaron watches hockey not only for the game itself, but for the love of it. The pain, the triumph, the jubilation, the defeat. He wouldn't have it any other way, it is his life. Love IS life. Aaron, you are living vividly through your hockey and so on one hand I commend you for exhibiting a strong passion that I'm often lacking, but on the other hand...Get a life.
I'm going to go out with the girls now until your Aunt Flo has left town.
