Although it was a spectacularly Gorgeous day, it was still a bit Nippy to take the kids out (but to be quite honest w/you, low 50's do not provoke over here to even pull on a sweater). Alas, there was no Trick-or-Treating for my little people. And by the looks of it, for no one else's, either.
He's here...*low growl* I always feel like I have to violently wretch when I have to deal w/him. I can't stand how he always comes off as the fucking hero. He's a user. I can't even waste the time to spew...
It's the brother-in-law...someday I shall explain when the urge to vomit has passed...
Halloween, sadly, is soon going to be one of those things Old folks in retirement homes babble about to youth volunteers. Remember when you could Trick-or-Treat and pop your hand into the bag as you strolled along, chomping on MaryJanes and Tootsie Rolls and not have to worry if someone poisoned them(?)
Remember when there was a time your neighbors (or those really good elder types could give you fruit and you probably actually ate it for lunch in school the next day(?)
Those days are gone. I'm sad about this on so many levels. 9/11 further stole innocence from a once cherished festivity.
So I guess from now on, I'll have to keep the spirit and throw these parties.

Even back when I trick or treated, my parents would check our candy, although back then I thought it was just so my dad could have an excuse to pick out what he liked to eat...
Somewhere I read that one of the two HP movies is supposed to be on tonight...trying to find it now. Listening to Men In Black on the tv now...
