Summary: The silence is almost unbearable, weighing heavy on my shoulders, making it even harder for me to breath as I walk up those last stairs. Grabbing the copy of his key to unlock the door. I know he’s asleep by now. Even though he always was a night person, he wasn’t one to go to bed late when needing to wake up early the next day. A smile fights its way to my lips. In a few hours, there won’t be a need for him to wake up early anymore. He won’t wake up at all.
