The Army National Guard (The Man) just called asking me to join. I told The Man that I wasn't about to sign up for an organization I can't trust because they owe me a t-shirt. We talked about the t-shirt situation for a long time. The conversation was basically me saying how much I don't want to join because I don't have my free shirt, and then The Man apologizing profusely.
He offered to meet up with me to give me the shirt OR mail me the shirt OR have a friend pick it up for me AND email me the information.
So now me and The Man are totally BFFs and we talked on the phone for 17 minutes and I gave out no personal information except for confirming that The Man has my correct email address.
Anyway, The Army National Guard is by far the best military branch ever because they feel guily when they don't send you t-shirts and they are not into making you sign up if you don't want to sign up. Or maybe they are just like that if you are BFFs with them, like me.
