If the Joker is looking to "relax with his thoughts"... erm... in the manner that usually only requires one hand (ahem), what thoughts do you think would go through his mind?  No holds barred, get as descriptive as you want.

My serious answer:

I agree with everything darker-she-said and lauralot said about how Batman would definitely have to be prominent in the Joker's sex fantasies (even though Batman may not be portrayed in a sexual way within those fantasies) and that at the moment of climax, the Joker is probably involuntarily flashing images of violence through his mind. The violent images could include memories of the times he stabbed or beat someone to death.

I think the Joker would get sexually arouses by images of his victims suffering. The act of stabbing wouldn't cause him to be sexually aroused. But seeing the emotional terror in his victims' eyes caused after the stabbing would give him a hard-on.

The key word is suffering. Seeing others in pain wouldn't necessarily cause him arousal. If he were to whip or slap a masochist, the Joker wouldn't get aroused by seeing the pain in the masochist's eyes because the Joker know the masochist is obviously enjoying the pain. The Joker wants to see genuine terror or humiliation or degradation in his victims' eyes, not enjoyment from the pain.

My non-serious answer:

I remember telling rancid_rainbow that the Joker would use the handle of his knife as an intimidating and scary dildo on his victims. He may be picturing his knife handle thrusting in and out of his victims during his masturbatory sessions.

I agree with you here that it is the suffering and the emotional turmoil - not the weapon - that does it. And it would need to be genuine to be arousing for him.

I thought the screencap of Gordon rescuing Batman from the threat of being penetrated with the Joker's dildo was appropriate and semi-lulzy. I don't think the Joker would actually sexually penetrate the Batman or anybody with his knife handle though (I could be wrong though). But he would definitely threaten to do it because he would enjoy seeing the fear and panic in people's eyes at the thought of being sexually assaulted with a knife handle. He does enjoy mindfucking with people.

The fic was called Sighs, and was a sequel to a fic called Smiles. It's a unfinished Joker/Crane story, and it isn't the best thing ever composed, but I remember thinking that the knife scene (which is in the second chapter) was something I'd never seen before.

Speaking of getting sexually violated with a foreign object (hey, there's a segueway I always aspired to use), have you read the story "Subjugation", on the FF site? Ho. Lee. Crap. It's a slash story that is positively shocking, but at the same time, incredibly sexy. It was written by rdallyn, and is definitely worth checking out. 3 chapters are up so far.

I just finished reading both "Sighs" + "Smiles." The scene showing the Joker using the knife as a foreign object inside Crane's body in the second chapter of "Sighs" is something I've haven't read in a Joker/Crane slashfic before. On the other hand, this is only the second Joker/Crane slashfic I've read. The first one was yours actually.

Bingo! What fun is it to beat someone, if they're deriving pleasure out of it?

It's not the act of damaging another person that turns him on, it's their *reaction* to it. When someone's shot, the injury is usually so grievous, there's no time for a reaction. No "savoring" moments, no pleading looks, no cries for mercy, no offers of currency of any sort (money, sex, power) that could sway the agenda once it's in motion.

As for Batman, the *idea* of a defeated or corrupted nemesis is likely what turns him on, not the vision of Batman naked or in sexual congress with the Joker himself.

The comments you add to your Joker pictures really make me laugh. I still chuckle over the "LOOK", with an arrow pointing to the Joker's crotch, in my prior journal thread. Ha!

Exactly. You are correct, madame, when you say that the idea of defeating or corrupting Batman would be more of a turn on than seeing Batman nude.
