The helicopter flying south this morning? I believe it was south anyway.

It was not a civilian one. At least, I do not think it was. Even with the binoculars I found, I could not see any markings because it was too far away from where I am...

This makes things much more interesting...

[still somewhat stunned] A military helicopter...what could they be doing flying so close? After all this time?

[is rubbing bridge of nose] I don't believe this.

That is what I am worried about. If they have been ignoring everyone and their cries for help up to now, it makes me wonder what they are really up to.

I wish I could have been able to make out the letters, but it was too far away.

That is the question of the hour. I think we have to assume that they are either a part of the people keeping us here...or maybe they are related to the people who tried to contact the city last month on the network and were cut off. They might be trying to scope out the city for a rescue.
...I just don't know which to go with. If they are our enemies, it doesn't make sense that they would stay hidden for so long, only to appear now. Unless they are watching us for something.

If it had happened an hour or two later, I might have been up to see it, but...ugh, long night last night. I had no idea until I read Peter Parker's journal. Almost doused myself in hot coffee.

This is what I have been wondering. I tried to signal them with a mirror that I have, but they either did not see it, or did not respond to the signal, which would be strange. SOS is a universal code for help, is it not?

Heh. I am always up early. Something I have never lost from working in Mossad and NCIS. I was luck that I was in a place with a straight view though. I am surrounded by taller buildings.

...Be careful with that coffee, do not want yourself getting hurt...

There's also a chance that they simply do not know we're here. On Krynn, there were spells powerful enough to hide an entire city. What if that is what's keeping us trapped here?

Could there be someone doing that now? I have not heard of such a thing on this world before, but that may have changed now. I would think that they would realize that such a huge city has now gone missing...especially if it just disappeared.

It's something to consider. We have no idea how we've all been brought here from our worlds; it very well could be magical in nature. It actually wouldn't surprise me if that's the case.

Hell, for all we know, there could be a god involved.

Well that's a disturbing thought. Just when I was feeling comfortable with the idea that I was at least in a world where magic wasn't SUPPOSED to be, current guests not included.

And thanks, Ziva, I don't plan on actually hurting myself with my coffee.

Hey, are you going to tell me where you are anytime soon so we can finish that conversation?

It says 'Caution: Hot' on the top for a reason. It sounded like you needed a reminder.

I told you already, I am in the south.

[dry tone of voice] Coffee mugs don't generally come with that label, Ziva, and I didn't actually spill it on myself. I just happened to have it in my mouth when I read the update and about strangled, as one is prone to do when startled while drinking or eating.

[that rather exasperated noise people make when they are exasperated] South WHERE? This is big island, Ziva.
