Every day for the last 6 months when I stood up after a long break from standing, I felt railroad spikes going through my feet. At first I thought maybe it was some strange form of the stigmata. So, I sought help. The first place I went was to the SHOE MILL where i purchased my ECCO shoes that I most frequently wear. They told me that I need more heal support. I thought it was just a ploy to sell more shoes. When challenged they metioned that they have there expert in on thursdays. I returned to hear what said expert had to say about my condition. He said it was planter flaciatus. I had no idea what it was so I read the packet of information he gave me and looked it up on the internet. Everything that was mentioned met my condition to a tee. That's when I told my adoring wife. Lacy said she didn't believe some guy at the shoe mill and said that I was being a baby. Then she cancelled my first appointment with the podiatrist. ON accident of coarse. But then blamed me for not getting in sooner then today. Today I went. It was confirmed, I do have planter flaciatus
http://orthoinfo.aaos.org/fact/thr_report.cfm?Thread_ID=144&topcategory=Foot It sucks and I go in next week to have casts of my feet made for custom orthodics. To top it all off, I was told I have an extra bone in my right foot. (I've allways called it my second ankle...now it's confirmed) The doctor said that in worst case scenario that the 27th bone would have to be removed.
