Counted ten on one hand today

What a glooorious day. My alarm is nearly fatally wounded, and so I no longer change the wake time. Thus... well, thus nothing. I was up when I damn-well-pleased this morning... packed my scraps and motored to Eggroll where I set up shop. Sketchbook and laptop out, I started work for Cebula. Creative juices and boba tea flowed like wine.

In the early afternoon I made a couple quick stops at secret places then hit the post office to send Ashley some top-secret unmentionables. :P Yesterday I ran 5 miles up and down the river before hitting the gym. Today I did the same, taking a break in between to soak up the sun. Afterward, I parked my car down by the boathouse and sat out in the sun with Ellis Paul's "Notes from the Road". I read until then sun tapered off and my phone rang with Ashley on the other end. Her voice sounded tired. She's been busting her butt working two jobs every day to save up for the great migration eastward. It kills me to hear her not feeling like herself, but it's all temporary and it takes a lot of work to make big dreams like these come true. So props to her for toughing her way through all the red tape.

I grabbed a shower, then headed to B&N in Nashua where I bought "Better, A Surgeon's Notes on Performance" by Atul Gawande. I read his book "Complications, A Surgeon's Notes on an Imperfect Science", and it completely blew me away. I highly recommend it to anyone in the medical field. I also bough a big CD wallet for my car since Ashley has burned me upwards of 2039874 CDs over the past few weeks and they slide all over the place every time I turn or stop abruptly. Interestingly, it's taught me that pretty much every turn and stop I make is abrupt. To anyone who is looking to improve their driving skills, I suggest driving with a pile of jewel cases in their passenger seat. Keep them from sliding off and you are driving smoothly.

Market Basket for milk > Subway > Hey to Julie > Sox game at Becky's > Back home.

...and that was my day. It was grand. Tomorrow is looking fuzzy... was going to hit the beach with Jon, but it's looking partly cloudy. The weather this weekend looks beautiful though. Homerun derby on Saturday. Maybe hiking Sunday. Beach Monday.
