Well, one thing I can say...my life is never dull.
I'd forgotten just how hectic it is to teach k-8 any subject at any one of the 60 something schools in the district depending on the day. Add to that the idea of moving into a new classroom every 30minutes in those days and you have fantastic fun. This is not to say that the kids are evil but they do such strange things...like draw pictures of you with orange glitter pants and a purple halter top or perhaps a winged vampire. They also like to do things like bite and scratch you or set fire to their classmates. Interesting...very interesting.
So, coming home from the crazy kids I have weekends to spend time with family (which I happen to think are even crazier than my kids). We do things like go to Bahama Breeze. It's always entertaining to watch my aunt get smashed on Goombay Smashes and then go to work at the 911 call center jsut after ordering the rest of us 2 lemondrop double shooters each. Entertainment? I think defintely yes, both for my other relatives present and the other patrons.
But family time doesn't end there. Besides little events like that and holiday dinners and parties there are things like the 3 funerals, 1 wedding, and resurrection (not Christ's)you get to attend. Yikes, for an extremely small family number wise we certainly do seem to be busy.
BTW thanks to Kyzin for your comment...it was interesting to think about, though I don't totally see how some of the pieces connect to my post...perhaps they weren't supposed, but they were still nice morning meditators.
