A lot has happened here lately. Yeah, I'm bored too, so I decided to update.
This past week was homecoming. Basketball HC isn't nearly as stressful as football, but last night was also senior night, so there was quite a bit to do. Our girls beat GC! The boys were winning for quite a while, but thanks to the refs.... Anyway, Brynn won Homecoming Queen! Aww... We held ourselves together through senior night, which surprised me. And then came the dance. I <3 our dances! We need one every Friday night. I'm not sure if this one was quite as fun as last year's Homecoming dance, right Kasi? Dustin and Luke came later, finally. So yeah, Homecoming week was great.
Some interesting things that have happened to Dee in the last couple of weeks:
1. I fell down the steps at school. I'm not talking a little trip. I'm talking falling and rolling. All these years of wearing heels caught up with me. lol- It was hilarious! And Cody was the only one who helped me up!
2. I wore the wrong uniform to the pep rally last Friday. As soon as I walk in all I heard was, "Wrong outfit, Dee!" coming from Jesse Miles.
3. I blew up a can of mousse. I was scrunching my hair and was throwing the can up then catching it. Well, I didn't catch it. It hit the cabinet, forming a hole in the can, spraying mousse everywhere. lol-
Ya know, I really fight for what I want. And believe me, I will continue doing so. Here's the shorter version of the story: I called the school board about the whole basket-toss situation, I then talked to both of our principals, one called Pam, who then called Mr. Kilgore who turned us down yet again. Like I said, "They've not seen the last of me."
I have found from experience that sadness and impulse is a dangerous combination. And so, I'm imagining that regret and impulse is an even more dangerous combination...
