Interview with Jonathan Tucker & Olivia Wilde

Mar 08, 2007 16:58

Question-> What was your reaction when you first read the script for The Black Donnellys?

Olivia Wilde-> When I first read the script for The Black Donnellys, I was completely shocked that it was a television show, and not a film. It read like a film. It was actually better than 90% of the film scripts that I read the previous year. I had not wanted to go back into the television, but the second I read it, I knew I had to try to get this role, but I didn’t think that I was going to be able to get it.

Jonathan Tucker-> I had somewhat the same reaction. We read scripts all the time, and it’s unfortunate that you see all these movies that get made that just aren’t that interesting. Now, more and more, actors are reading scripts just for the script and the story, and this came across as spectacular. It was a hard decision, though. I didn’t really want to play the same character for five years.
