i'm so glad that this dog-sitting/house-sitting thing will be done like an hour after i get off of work. i'm tired of cleaning doggie-poo in the basement, and i'm tired of using up so much gas going from place to place. i could handle Thor no problem last time and this time, but then with Zeus and Athena thrown into the mix, i'm just fed up with dealing with them. the puppy was so badly behaved, and another dog kept marking his territory on the house. doesn't help that it's two bull mastiffs and a boxer.
i went to the tigers game yesterday with my sister. what an awesome game. it was a nice day, the tigers played well, and there were fireworks afterward. pretty sure i need to start going to more tigers games. that was the first one in about four years, and that gap in time was not by choice.
i've finally finished reading Order of the Phoenix and Half-Blood Prince, after like a 3 or 4 year delay. i almost should feel ashamed to be reading Harry Potter books still, but screw it, i've gotta finish what i've started. and i was not disappointed by them, either. yesterday was the biggest emotional rollercoaster of my life, 'cause i picked up right before Ginny and Harry have a snog, and continued to the end. that means i went from that emotional high to the crashing depths of "Snape kills Dumbledore" (which would be a great band name, right m.b.?)
which led me to another interesting thought. one, how much i like the word "snogging", and how i have recently started using it quite a bit. two, am i the only person who has ever had the urge to just walk up to a girl whom you either really like or at least find devastatingly attractive, and just have a quick and unscheduled snog? i think it's a little different if you just unexpectedly kiss/make-out with your significant other. but just out in the open and out of thin air with someone that's not (YET)?
i dunno, i'm weird.
lots of music being written lately. there's a song i worked on that, if it were ever in album form, it'd absolutely have to be the first track. it has the quick intro with a hook, then it just gets really fierce and energetic. i'm focusing on the music aspect a little more lately than lyrics. that comes easily enough, so i'm putting it on the backburner for now.
oh i don't know how i forgot to bring this up as well, but i got a new phone! my contract was up so i got a new phone. it's the motorola Krzr (kinda like the razr, just way better and not everyone and their brother has it, lol). i've never had a picture phone, nor did i need it. nor did i need something that'll store a whole lot of music on it. BUT, i have it, and it is SO choice. i highly suggest you pick one up if you have the means.
so don't be weirded out if i am insistent on getting your picture to put in my phone. i like having a picture to go with the display name, so it's even easier to figure out who's calling.
any ideas for a movie to watch for the movie night & bonfire? here's a few ideas i had: a brat pack (John Hughes) movie, a Bond movie, Accepted, Lucky Number Slevin, or Garden State. i'm sure you have better ideas. PLEASE share them with me. or, if you wanna see one of the above, tell me that too.
