New Computer / Beck / New Project (Yes I Never Learn) / Old Project
I went to see Beck with Nina and her friends. It was awesome just seeing Beck live for once, but he didn't play anything pre-Odelay (except Loser of course) and he didn't play anything off of Mutations either. Also the levels on certain things were too loud, and the mike was a little clippy (aren't they always?) Still it was fun, and I also saw San Jose for the first time too. Oh, and a lot of cheesy fuckers at the concert.
I have a new computer. I actually bought it last week, but I finally got it hooked up to the LAN yesterday. More internet nerdness for me! Five times the porn and old tv shows storage! And let me just say, it's nuts the difference between 256 and 512MB on XP. I almost never hear the hard drive being run except when I'm saving or downloading now. In the previous computer it was constantly resorting to virtual memory. There are other cool features about the computer too, like built in memory card readers. It's still a low end computer so there isn't much else to brag about. A weeklong break was too much.
I have a new project. Yes, I never learn. This one is also internet based. But I do have to say, it is looking super cool and isn't suffering from my previous total lack of graphic design skills and software. I think half my office being a graphic design production studio helped inspire me. And in functionality it is more than professional, it is looking to be top of the line. It is smaller but a much more tight package then my other projects.
And the only old project I'm working on, the stock analyzer, still exists. I haven't forgotten it. Although I am not actively analyzing, I am still collecting data every Monday like clockwork.
And last but not least; Team America is the fucking funniest movie I've seen in a long time.
