I wrote this and I really need feedback

Alone.

This is where I truly belong. Outside the scope and sight of man. Nothing to humor me but my own thoughts.

Alone.

The dull edge of reality cannot cut away the walls of metaphysical steel I've surrounded myself with. The confused motives and virtue of others cannot taint my own.

Alone.

One man's trash is another man's treasure, they say. I say one man's hell is another man's heaven. This is mine. Nothing can touch me here. I soar through the skies as a hawk: unseen, unreachable, and all seeing, above them all.

Alone.

The darkest nights are to me as the brightest days are to man. This is truly where I shine the brightest. Where the loudest noise is silence and the brightest lights are those of myself. Armed with nothing but my pen and tongue, both of acid. Stalking the streets almost as a predator, ready to pounce on anything that invokes a thought, evokes a reaction.

Alone.

I'm completely aware of one solid fact. There is only one entity on this barren social wasteland of a planet that I can rely upon: myself. My values are as certain to hold as a stone in the face of an ocean: constantly it is challenged and consistenly it proves the victor.

Alone.

My joy is not without its costs, however; as a man, I can only naturally yearn for something or someone to confide in me and, in reverse, that I can confide in. Yet when I look back upon the twisted road I have traveled (and it has been a long one)...in retrospect, every time I have allowed someone of that nature to place themselves inside of those walls, those walls of tempered steel, fortified by hate, strengthened by realization that I never have to walk outside of them...when I look back to those times, I often find that the aforementioned being was only a burden. A curse. Another being I have to worry about letting down. Another being that only wishes for me to conform to another set of standards. This steel does not bend. There is not room for two within these walls. This is the truest tragedy complete, and in perpetuity, as the longer I shun everyone from myself, the closer the walls get, and the less chance I will ever let anyone expand them.

Alone.

I can't continue this train of thought.

I didn't know how to end it.

Please, leave your thoughts.
