Haunt work

Today was spent waxing the green room floor at the Haunt. We ended up putting six coats of wax on the floor and it is now shinny. Jim and I were joking that we should put a huge amount of wax in front of the doors so that when the actors coming tearing through the door they would lose control and crash into a wall. I think it would be really funny the first two or three times, then it would get really old unless we could somehow set it up to videotape it and then we can replay it when we need a laugh. Then we went up on the roof of the building which for those of you who know me, know how much heights terrify me. We were searching for where the roof leaks were coming from. We then discovered that there are only a dozen or so roof drains in a thirty thousand plus square foot building, which leads to lots and lots of standing water.

We finally found a tool that has been missing since the middle of September and the plan is to give it to the owner as a Christmas gift. The sideshow group that worked at the Haunt last year apparently needed it from September onward and never told anyone that they were using it and keeping it in the place where they were working. I found it because I was looking for a fire extinguisher that should have been in there. It was nice to know that the tool was not stolen as we originally thought had happened.

After the planning meeting for the Haunt tomorrow I will probably be working with Jim on a racing promotion thing that he has been working on for the last couple of months for a friend and former race car driver friend of his. He has been kind of distracted by this for the last couple of months and it needs to get done this week and he says that he knows what he wants to say but he cannot get it out of his head so he wanted help.

Watched the new American Gladiators this evening and had a good laugh and was cheering on the gladiators as the show is kind of meant for you to do. It should be a fun thing to watch for the season.

Not much else going on right now, trying to figure out what I want to eat for dinner before watching the return of the Daily Show.
