Wasting Time
So as a Christmas present to myself I picked up Dragon Quest VIII and so far it has been a fun game, I am only about five hours into it so I just got my butt beaten by the water monster so I will need to get some more levels before I try that again.
Tonight I will be going over to my mother's to set up her new computer and connect it to the DSL she just ordered, and then on Sunday after getting out of work I will have to go over to my father's and help him recover his girlfriends laptop. I am considered the computer guru of my family so when issues arise I am the first one to get called. My favorite example of this happened on Sunday when my father called me because his girlfriend had accidentally hit the control button and now the cursor was slanted, like it was ready to write italics. I told him to hit control and the i key and that would fix it. He was amazed at this piece of information and then I went on to explain other control keys in windows.
An installer for Dish network is here right now putting up the dish and getting the wires all hooked up. Rob and I looked at everything and figured that at about $25 each per month, it would be nice to have watchable television. So we are getting the majority of channels that I wanted and basically everything Rob wanted and I am very happy with it. We are also getting a DVR which is should be a neat new toy.
Nothing much else going on right now, just, (as my subject said,) wasting time.
