Before reading the following please be warned of grammatical errors, I got this in an email from CCF and I believe the author was trying to translate from German. I've kind of adjusted most spelling to help make a little more sense. Anyways, I really hope you can spare 5 minutes to help people become aware of a minority of animal suffering that humans cause every day. In Japan one big problem is the companion animal problem.
There are not really any laws protecting animals, there are not really any shelters for
the abused companion animals,
Japan is killing its dogs and cats in gas chambers and sending them to Researching
Institutes.
Petshops let the animals which are not sold die, people also throwing their
companions in the garbage.
We estimate the killed companion animals in Japan at tens of millions each year.
But Japan is still importing more and more animals every day.
The mind of Japan's people have to change, but we also need to enforce laws which can
protect these precious animals.
