Heroes 4x18, I Think?

Feb 01, 2010 23:55

I actually forgot what time it was on (well, more like I forgot the screwy TV time zone I live in), so I missed the first half. I didn't really want to make this post, because I'm just going to rant, so... everyone please feel free to skip this. Argh. One more episode. One more.

Okay, so, confession, I liked Sylar briefly in Volume Three. )

ahh seriously though i'm a huge fan of nathan but sylar killing him is only one of the many, many reasons to hate the guy he has caused so much pain and grief to all the characters that are presented to us as good guys that we're supposed to like, i kind of feel that this is essentially tim kring giving us all the finger.

i predict that if we get a fifth season by the end of it every other character will be dead, and they will call the volume "Sylar, Victorious!"

...i haven't watched the episode yet. i'm just ranting and bitter and bracing myself for it.

ahhh every single time i think of characters i hate that i feel should have died but didn't due to the inexplicable popularity of said character, SPIKE!!! is at the top of the list. and THEN they had to bring him to angel, just because i feel they hated everything good in the world. although i have to say, right now he's a sweetheart compared to sylar, and us having to put up with sylar.

i hope claire shoots him in the face when he shows up at the carnival. it's the only thing that will give me some joy. nevermind that he can't die. just, someone for heaven's sake acknowledge that you don't just forgive everything he did, PETER.

what vid? there is a happy heroes vid? *perks up*

I haven't really watched since Nathan died, but is it really season finale time? Was the season cut short?

NBC has the Olympics this year, so they're ending Heroes early for that. And it was always intended to be a short season, I think they were trying to put more of their budget into each episode.

Was really planning to make coherent comments on this post/thread - then I saw your icon.

And my brain was reduced to a state of GUH!

I have so many issues with this episode because I loved the aspects of it that could have been wonderful had there been some small but significant tweaks in the show. I admit to enjoying the interplay between Peter and Sylar not because of anything the show has actually done, but because of everything they haven't done, but which fanfic writers have. But I'm also angry at this episode because they did not have to kill Nathan permanently and forever to get to this point, it's just one of those plot threads that didn't need to happen, like their decision to *change* having Gabriel be a Petrelli/Peter and Gabriel be twins.

Silly, silly show with all its squandered potential.

Yeah, I was thinking about fix-it fics and thinking how, literally, removing Nathan's death from the season would change nothing at all in the plot. Nothing.

Heroes honestly went downhill when the formula and synthetic EH were introduced. I've never really been a fan of AP, and when he "died" in the S2 finale, I didn't have such an issue with it.

This whole Peter-Sylar partnership in V3 could have been explored leaps and bounds, including the addition to the family and the change in dynamic. Now that they've revived the Peter-Sylar thing, it doesn't seem brotherly (and although I like shipping them), we're going to have a scene like that in my icon, only with Nathan in a mirror.

I did like this episode though. It focused more on the character development (screw HRG's past though, that was a whole lot of BS), and that's what Heroes is actually lacking these seasons.

PS: you mentioned Tim Kring and the finger. Can we make a "Fuck you Tim Kring" community? Or direct me to one if it exists please. That guy's a cunt with herpes with syphillis on the side.
