Cleveland was fun. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame was cooler than I remember. Probably because I have a better appreciation for music at 23 than at 12. Our hotel was very nice, although they hadn't turned the heat on for the year yet and it got very cold those two nights. Their free breakfast was great; the best I've ever had in a hotel. A chef cooked our eggs or omelets to order and there was also sausage, pancakes, french toast and potato bits to go along with them. The "Manager's Reception" at 5:30 provided us with delicious free drinks. I think I like that... free drinks. Can't go wrong. It wasn't even the worst liquor, either.
Overall, Jake and I had a good time.
So, I don't work at Pointe anymore. I have this whole week off to relax, then my new job at Verizon starts on Monday. I can't wait. I'll be making about $5 more per hour, which will help greatly with the house and keeping up on my bills. Well, not keeping up, but paying down. I always pay my bills on time but I'd really like to pay extra on my car loan so I can get it paid off faster and no longer have to insure it with full coverage.
I'm ready for this. This job won't be easy, but the harder I work at it, the more rewards I'll gain.
