Dana, Rachel, Kathleen, and I went to the beach.
I only have sunscreen ranging in UV protection 50 and above, so I didn't bring any. I figured someone else would have something lower. Bad idea.
Dana brought:
-AfroSeen Hairspray (It read on the can "For Women of Color"). Dana claims it's not greasy like tanning oil.
-this Fiji stuff that supposedly lifts the red blood cells in your skin to the surface
-ultra extreme bronzer stuff looked weird.
For me that was a no, NO, and no.
I figured (again bad on my part) hey, I'm Greek I'll be ok. Again, bad idea.
We laid out and then walked along the water for a good 2 miles. Dana was dark, Rachel was red, Kathleen was somewhat red, and I thought I darker than my former September-March whiteness.
As I got home, I noticed that I was dark pink.
Note: I'm don't look like a lobster, a "visiting Florida" tourist, nor am I burnt to a crisp. Thank goodness.
And in about 3 days the dark pinkness will turn tan.
It's starting to hurt.
So yeah, my title says it all "pink lips, red cheeks."
And now back (continuing tomorrow between church and chorus)to the continuation of Whedoning, Whedoning, studying for Astronomy, and Spanish.
